And when I plugged it back into the comp, I forgot to scan it and then saw that it had this strange Virus of sorts. It was clean until I decided to give out my External HDD to a friend. That might be so, and since that directory is pissing me off, I wrote a small service that will delete that directory every time a USB drive is connected. Thank you for your help! I hope we can fix this problem. I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on my system. If you search the net on how to permanently delete the SVI (System Volume Information) you will find that everybody says it cannot be permanently removed.
